9/30- Daily Review – The Mansfield University women’s soccer team beat Millersville.

9/29 – LNP – Article on origin of mascots included that Bob Lehr, was curious enough about the Millersville University Marauders that he researched the topic. Lehr said the college team got its name around 1940, when former New Era sportswriter George Kirchner described their undefeated football team going through their opponents “like marauders.” The name stuck.

9/29 – LNP and Madison.com – Obituary for Meredith Church Rousseau, 81, who died Sept. 5. Meredith taught at Millersville University.
