Editor’s Note:

College affordability is a huge concern across the U.S. Millersville is doing its part to help our students. Students leave Millersville with an average debt that is less than the national average. Our per credit tuition model allows us to give more scholarship dollars to students in need. During their spring meeting, our trustees voted to reduce the cost of room and board by 3.3% beginning in fall 2019. Our faculty, through the Open Educational Resource working group is offering free, high-quality educational materials so students don’t have to use loans to buy textbooks. We’ll continue to look for ways to help our students with the overall cost.
