8/2 – Carroll County Times – The Carroll County Arts Council awarded seven high school seniors a $1,000 college scholarship to continue their studies in the arts. Natalie Poulton, from Century High School, who will be attending Millersville University and majoring in art education, received one of the scholarships.

- The Millersville Area Historical Society will meet Saturday, Aug. 11. The speaker will be John M. McLarnon III, associate professor and chair of the history department at Millersville University.
- The Millersville Community-University Parade on Saturday, Oct. 13, will pay tribute to Gulf War veterans.
