Today we finally got our plants in the system. We may be a little behind, but things are looking good.
After germinating our seeds for 5 days, we planted two Mesclun seeds and one Radish seed. All had roots that had already grown nice and healthy, so I’m sure they’ll have no trouble growing even better in our system. Our pH was around 7 after we put the nutrients in.
The only other edition we need for our system is a timer. Dr. Brusic will be purchasing one for us and bringing it on Thursday to class.
Wow whose good idea was it to germinate the seeds before planting them? That seems like a great idea. You guys will definitely have a significant amount of growth in the upcoming weeks.
You guys have been really working hard on this design and it has been paying off. I am very impressed when I see how much growth you have had since the beginning of our project. What’s the secret? Keep up the good work!
