Get Involved is the platform that Millersville University uses to help students find opportunities to get involved on campus. Every student club or organization recognized by SGA is required to have their own portal (or page). Some University Departments choose to have a portal on Get Involved. These portals are online offices for our student clubs and organizations. If students are hoping to join a club or organization, we tell students to search on Get Involved and reach out to student org leaders that way. Here are a few fun features with Get Involved:
- Events – Student organizations are required to submit their events on Get Involved. This allows University personnel to know what is going on with our student orgs and we can help to ensure they are following policies and procedures. Once events are approved, students can start marketing their events. Marketing events is a great feature with Get Involved. Once approved, events will pop up on the calendar in Get Involved and they automatically show up in Corq.
- Forms – This is a great feature when you want to create an online form. CSIL uses this option frequently when we need students to register and we want to collect information. The process of creating a form is similar to SurveyMonkey.
- Messages – Get Involved utilizes message relays to send a rich-text message to everyone in your group. You can send an email to everyone attending your event or all members of your organization. It is sent from your MU email and doesn’t require you to keep a listserv up-to-date.
