VP Hazlett’s October Message

It’s my favorite time of year! Fall at the ‘Ville is packed with opportunities to connect with the faculty, staff and our amazing students who make this campus the vibrant and energetic place that it is.

It has been just over a month since Millersville students moved back into their residence halls, started attending classes, and became reacquainted with campus after nearly 18 months away. This may be one of the most authentic “homecomings” we have ever experienced at the ‘Ville.

I hope you will join me for the Millersville Parade, celebrating our “Hometown Heroes” who helped keep our community safe during the pandemic. Several student organizations will be involved with the parade this year. I look forward to celebrating with you and showing our MU pride!

While I know the fall semester can bring added responsibilities and stress, I hope you are able to find a few moments to appreciate how far we have come as a division. Your hard work through the consistent challenges of this past year was not in vain. In fact, many of you turned challenges into opportunities! Our students are back on campus, they are safe, they are learning, and they are thriving BECAUSE OF YOU!

Thank you for all you do to make Millersville a place worth celebrating.

Happy Homecoming!

VP Hazlett
