Although we are unable to gather together to celebrate Veterans Day this year, the Veterans Resource Center will still be honoring our student, faculty, and staff Veterans and taking the opportunity to let them know just how proud we are to have them in our Marauder community!
Our student veterans will each be receiving packages with a thank-you card, MU swag, and some tasty snacks from our local partners Lickity Split and Lancaster Cupcake.
Faculty, staff, and student veterans are asked to add their names to the Human Resources list of veterans to be published in ‘Ville Daily on Veterans Day. This will serve as thanks and recognition, and as an opportunity to identify one another as fellow veterans.
Speaking of ‘Ville Daily, be sure to check out our poster in the days leading up to Veterans Day. We will be taking a look at why we celebrate Veterans Day on November 11, how it differs from Memorial Day, and why Veterans Day was briefly changed to a different day before being changed back to the November 11 date we have celebrated for the last 42 years.
