We are excited to share that we have recently acquired a Kahoot! Premium account, with features specifically geared toward higher education settings! Haven’t heard of Kahoot! before? Kahoot! is an online software that allows users to create quizzes and surveys as an interactive way to host game nights or trivia sessions, test students understanding of recent trainings, or anything else you can create! While some resources are free to access, our premium license greatly expands options, assessment abilities, and the amount of players or participants that can join in a single session simultaneously.
The Office of Orientation & Transition Programs has tested out the features and ability to report out participant data. Data includes question difficulty across all participants, users who started but did not complete a quiz, as well as those scoring in the bottom of the participant group. Additionally, Kahoot! quizzes and games can be created giving participants the ability to rate the game and offer other feedback to help strengthen your game, quiz, etc. for next time. Campus Recreation and the Dr. Rita Smith Wade-El Intercultural Center have also joined in using this fun, socially-distant way to engage with our students.
