Volunteers of America has served the people of Pennsylvania since 1896, the same year our nationwide movement began with the promise to “go wherever we are needed, and do whatever comes to hand.”
Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania designs and operates programs that address today’s most pressing social needs. Volunteers of America services in Pennsylvania include daycare, thrift stores, mental health services, supportive living, pregnancy counseling, and transportation for the elderly and handicapped. Additionally, Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania specializes in providing affordable housing for veterans, the elderly, those with chronic and persistent mental illness and young adults, ages 18 to 25, who are struggling and at risk for homelessness.
