The mission of CATALYST is to improve the cancer survival rates of ethnic and minority persons in Central Pennsylvania and statewide. The initial focus has been on breast, cervical and prostate cancer. Programs include: community workshops and seminars; distribution of cancer awareness materials; networking with healthcare providers to assist with screening opportunities; media campaigns; and fostering the CATALYST Cancer Survivors Support Group.
