Ambassadors for Christ (AFC)

Ambassadors for Christ (AFC) was founded in 1963 in Washington, DC, by Rev. David Chow, Rev. Ted Choy, and Mrs. Leona Choy.  It relocated in Paradise, PA, in 1975 after receiving a gift of land from Mary Leaman, a former missionary to China.

AFC is a Chinese Christian mission organization to students, scholars, and those residing in the USA.  Headquarters is in Paradise where it also has its Christian book warehouse, a training center, and guest lodging.  AFC has campus ministers scattered throughout the US whose goal is to reach the Chinese students for Christ before they return to China or Taiwan after graduate studies.   AFC also holds an annual Chinese Mission Conference in the US each year, alternating between east coast, west coast, and the south in successive years.  Attendance ranges between 3,000-4,000.

The training center and guest lodging are available to churches and mission organizations for retreat and training purposes only.   Several churches from the NJ and NY area make the trip to Amish country to hold their annual retreats while watching our Amish farmer work is fields.  A truly tranquil experience for those desiring to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
