Jessica & Friends Community, York, PA, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing faith-based services and support for individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. Founded upon the good news of Jesus Christ, Jessica & Friends Community seeks to be a good steward of God’s blessings and diligently works to proclaim the gospel, foster a community which affirms the worth of all people, advocate for community and church inclusion, and provide opportunities for spiritual growth and service. What started as a single residential home in 1998, Jessica & Friends now offers multiple residential homes, a caregiver ministry, home and community program, Pathway Services day program, and a for-profit business (J&F Products). Jessica & Friends Community is seeking a Vice President of People & Culture to champion, build, and maintain a healthy and thriving organizational culture by overseeing all aspects of Human Resources. In collaboration with the CEO, the Vice President of People & Culture will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to shape the organization’s people strategy including talent acquisition, leadership development, training, employee engagement, and ministry initiatives. Additionally, the Vice President of People & Culture will partner with the Senior Leadership Team to drive organizational excellence by advancing strategic goals and developing an HR strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude that thrives at building new things within a complex working environment.
Vice President of People & Culture Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related degree, required; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP), a plus
- At least five (5) years of progressive leadership experience within a non-profit organization, with a strong understanding of HR best practices and trends
- A successful track record of progressive leadership experience with the ability to influence culture and develop high performing teams
- Demonstrated proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite or related software, required; Previous experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), essential
- Community involvement, strongly preferred
