HOPE International
The SG Performance Analyst will be part of HOPE’s Savings Group Operations Team. In this role, the Analyst will utilize Power BI (along with R or Python, as applicable) to run analysis, aimed at better understanding operations, improving effectiveness, and evaluating innovative pilots. The Analyst will support and conduct trainings on the effective use and understanding of analytical reports to stakeholders, including HOPE Network leaders. Finally, the Analyst will support with evaluating, implementing, and training on new technology, tools, and/or software rollouts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International
- Data Analysis
- Leverage data analytics best practices, R or Python knowledge and business intelligence tools to conduct thorough analyses of complex data from Savings Group programs across the globe; extract important insights and clearly communicate key findings to program staff and HOPE leadership
- Support HOPE’s Listening, Monitoring & Evaluation team with statistical analyses of Savings Group field evaluations or survey results to communicate program impact to donors and improve operational pain-points
- Clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences across HOPE
- Write research reports using statistical analyses from field-level data for HOPE’s Savings Group teams to evaluate changes in methodology, training, or technologies
- Develop and design dashboards using advanced Excel features such as Pivot tables, Charts, Graphs, Formulas, and Macros
- Document and help standardize how HOPE performs data analysis; suggest improvements in tools and techniques
- Distill and present significant analysis findings to HOPE leadership
- Consultation to the Global Network of Programs
- Consult with other HOPE teams, such as SG Multiply or Agriculture, in the development and implementation of new analytical tools, dashboards, or technological solutions
- Work with Savings Group program leaders to prioritize technical assistance challenges and generate creative solutions
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use data for decision-making, often acting as a liaison between the technical team and non-technical end-users to ensure effective communication and understanding of data-related issues
- Manage relationships within interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams including internal audit, technical assistance, finance, field program staff, and external entities, such as vendors, consultants and partner organizations
- Contribute to a culture that models Biblical principles and incorporates an intentional and effective Christ-centered witness in all SG programs

- Perform other data analytics and technical assistance functions as necessary, including responding to information requests from the broader team (SG Multiply, Agriculture), HOPE leadership, or external stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
- Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e., computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, data analytics, or economics)
- 1-2+ years of experience in data analytics, computer science or related disciplines; experience with business analysis preferred
- Demonstrated interest in international development and financial services
- Experience with data visualization software such as Power BI
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with other Microsoft Suite products, with skills in R or Python being a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; self-starter attitude in the face of complex challenges
- Desire to train others to effectively utilize analytical dashboards and reports
- Attention to detail and commitment to use data ethically and represent analysis findings accurately
- Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and prioritization of competing demands/multiple deadlines
- Cross-cultural sensitivity, experience, and communication skills
- Experience applying participatory education (adult learning principles) and facilitating trainings preferred
- Requires willingness and ability to travel up to 75 nights per year, mostly international trips to visit Savings Group programs
