The recruiter is responsible for recruiting candidates, managing the interview process, and contributing to employees’ overall thriving at HOPE International. HOPE International attracts high caliber individuals who first and foremost have a desire to use their skills in service to the Lord. The recruiter will facilitate the hiring process for various domestic and international departments. He or she will collaborate with other members of the administration team to build upon the support the team provides to the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International
Recruitment
- Work with hiring managers and the relevant team HR business partner to develop and refine job descriptions for new roles and backfills
- Facilitate recruitment and interview processes to ensure positions are filled in a timely fashion with high-quality mission fit candidates
- Model a prayerful and Christ-centered posture throughout the recruitment process
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with search committee members through effective communication in launch meetings, interviews, and status updates
- Develop interview guides for each step in the process that represent the search committee’s needs and goals for the position
- Conduct initial resume screens and phone interviews in order to make appropriate recommendations to hiring managers
- Implement pre-employment assessment tools
- Facilitate face to face interviews
- Lead search committee debriefs and assist hiring managers in decision-making
- Manage background, education, and reference check process for finalists
- Communicate with candidates regarding their status, ensuring that candidates feel valued and respected regardless of the hiring outcome
- Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system
- Handle transition from candidate to employee through effective hand-off for onboarding
- Communicate relevant messages to staff, including staffing announcements, etc.
- Serve as an active participant on the HR team by collaborating on improvements to the candidate and employee experience at HOPE
Prospecting
- Conduct exploratory calls to pro-actively manage a pipeline of prospective candidates
- Proactively search professional channels to source prospective candidates
- Explore new and innovative sources for posting and advertising HOPE International’s roles to new and diverse audiences
QUALIFICATIONS
- Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
- Passionate commitment to HOPE’s Christ-centered mission
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly skilled and sensitive in cross-cultural communications and in workplace relationships
- Sensitivity to issues that motivate employees both inside and outside the workplace
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and develop trust among colleagues
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively and independently
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, counseling, business administration, or a similar field of study preferred
- PHR or SHRM certification or willingness to obtain preferred
- Recruitment experience preferred
- Experience with an applicant tracking systems, such as iCIMS, preferred
