Housing Development Corporation MidAtlantic (HDC) is currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist for the home office in Lancaster, Pa. Housing opportunities for those with modest incomes. HDC is a non-profit company engaged in real estate development and management. Human Resources:

  • Completes background check process related to job applicants
  • Prepares and distributes new hire paperwork
  • Assists with the new hire orientation process
  • Administers HRIS system in relation to employment data and new hire benefit enrollments
  • Oversees Benefits Administration process
  • Manages new employee 401K enrollments, annual notices and required communication to all employees and administers 401k audit compliance work
  • Monitors new hire process through completion of 90-day Onboarding period
  • Processes and administers all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork; medical, personal, disability and FMLA
  • Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
  • Maintains confidential data and processes
  • Complies with all Fair Housing and HDC MidAtlantic regulatory requirements
  • Completes and files various required administrative records and reports
  • Updates employee changes on organization’s intranet
  • Orders, distributes, collects and tracks HDC MidAtlantic issued equipment
  • Responsible for regular audits of personnel files


  • Bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Processes payroll billings to residential communities
  • 401k uploads, garnishments, inter-company reimbursements, etc
  • Voluntary benefit monthly invoicing
  • Maintains PTO tracking and reconciliation


  • Management of our technology portal
  • Assist with IT budgeting
  • Quarterly and Yearly reviews with the team
  • Prepares billing and service ticket back up
  • Oversees traveling portable computer devices
  • Schedules computer repairs
  • Oversees all the computer quoting and approvals on purchases
  • Handles issuing of Home Office employee badges and alarm codes  


  • Provides Notary Services, as requested
  • Serves as main point of contact for Home Office Security Company
