FULL JOB SUMMARY
The executive communications assistant works alongside HOPE’s President & CEO and president’s office team to develop and execute internal and external communications including presentations, social media, emails, recurring updates, and other writing and communications. Project work includes coordination across departments, developing communication strategies in collaboration with the president & CEO and other members of the president’s office, managing internal recurring communication processes, liaising with external contacts, and administrative writing and coordination responsibilities, as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International.
Executive communication
Prepare presentations and resources for president & CEO’s external engagements; including adapting existing talk outlines, developing new content in collaboration with the president & CEO, and liaising with external contacts to ensure timely preparation and follow-up
Develop and execute president & CEO’s social media strategy, including creating content, scheduling posts, and engaging with audiences across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to prepare for HOPE experiences like Celebrating HOPE, Global Staff Meetings, and Leadership Summit
Draft monthly updates, emails, and other internal communications from the president & CEO
Draft external communications for the president & CEO, supporting timely relationship management and follow-up for a variety of contacts, engagements, and communications
Writing and book launch support
Coordinate book launches and other events related to thought leadership of HOPE executives, in collaboration with the Senior Executive Writer and advancement team
Support drafting of articles, letters, endorsements, and blogs in collaboration with the senior executive writer and president & CEO, as needed
Manage book inventory, as needed
Organization-wide and crisis communication
Manage regular updates for organizational objectives and key performance indicators, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for executive team accountability
Craft organization-wide communications regarding company events, culture, and changes, in collaboration with relevant teams
Support internal crisis communication processes as needed, including managing recurring updates and frameworks for internal crisis communication
Executive administrative support
Support coordination for President’s Office needs including meeting preparation and office-related needs, as needed
Undertake special projects under the direction of the President & CEO, as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Experience providing writing support for another person’s voice
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and prioritization of competing demands/multiple deadlines
Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Experience managing confidential information, preferred
Experience using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel) preferred
Strong cross-cultural skills preferred
Sensitivity in cross-cultural communications and in workplace relationships
International travel, missions, and/or work experience preferred
High school diploma required/associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
