HOPE International
The Donor Care Assistant is responsible to coordinate HOPE’s gift processing, communicating with donors to handle requests and updating the donor database to ensure gifts are entered, receipt letters are distributed and timely reports are available to all development representatives. This information is used in receipt letters and maintenance of accounting and tax receipting of donations to HOPE International.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote and contribute to the fulfillment of HOPE International’s mission and vision
Maintain and monitor all aspects of donor database
- Coordinate and implement donation process to ensure all gifts are deposited and recorded accurately and timely
- Update donor database with new account information as well as make modifications to current accounts, create reports, resolve and update failed donations
- Assist donors with inquiries on making a donation to HOPE via check, credit card, direct bank withdraw, stock donation, etc.
- Ensure all development representatives are made aware of new gifts through leveraging capabilities of the donor database
- Undertake special projects as directed by Manager of Accounting Operations
- Handle or monitor donation receipt process for HOPE special events
- Assist with closing the revenue numbers for the month end close of the finance team
Communication and Reporting: Ensure those we interact with receive timely responses, accurate information, and heart-felt appreciation
- Ensure receipt letters and response to inquiries from donors are acknowledged within the established timeframe
- Work closely with various teams to find solutions (Development representatives, IT department, and Finance operations team) to donor needs and donor database reporting needs
- Provide training to new development reps on how to use the Salesforce database
- Ensure all new and existing donors are appropriately thanked for their contributions
QUALIFICATIONS
- Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
- Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and prioritization of competing demands/multiple deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to maintain data integrity for large quantities of data input
- Ability to work independently or on a collaborative team project
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) required and prior experience with or willingness to learn Salesforce
- Pleasant disposition and communication style via phone or email communication
- Flexibility and willingness to help where it is needed and contribute in other ways as time permits as part of the accounting operations team
