YWCA Lancaster is seeking a Director of the Center for Racial and Gender Equity (CRGE). This position is responsible for the active delivery of the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. The Director will coordinate learning, advocacy, research and partnerships to create a community that embraces racial and gender equity. The Director will be responsible for ensuring that the Center has a comprehensive strategy of community engagement in social change.
Candidates for this position must have a demonstrated track record of commitment and accomplishment in the field of racial equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. Demonstrated skill as an educator, trainer and speaker including experience developing curriculum-based trainings and workshops and working with volunteers.
Fluency with the concepts of structural racism, intersectionality, implicit bias and trauma required. A passion for the mission of YWCA and the ability to communicate this passion to others.
Previous community leadership experience is strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. A Master’s Degree and/or specialized training in race and gender studies is preferred. Demonstrated management or administrative experience in a community-based organization or non-profit agency is preferred.
