KINBER is seeking a Director of Accounting & Finance to join the mission-driven team. The Director of Accounting & Finance will play a strategic and hands-on role by overseeing KINBER’s financial operations, accounting practices, and compliance functions. The Director of Accounting & Finance will lead and execute all accounting and financial activities including processing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, budgeting, audit preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis. The ability to collaborate and build strong relationships amongst a variety of stakeholders is essential to the role. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor on fiscal strategy, helping to share organizational decision-making and ensuring the financial health of KINBER.
Director of Accounting & Finance Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- A minimum of five years of experience with accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Experience with nonprofit accounting principles and fiscal grant management, a plus
- Proficiency with technology including Microsoft 365 office suite including Excel, required; Aptitude for utilizing and employing technology, strongly preferred
- Demonstrated community involvement, preferred
