Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity

The Incumbent, reporting to the Director of Development and Communications, is responsible for the timely acknowledgement of gifts and donor recognition of contributions to Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity. The role is a crucial part to maintaining and improving close personal relationships with donors and partners through database management and timely correspondence.

Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity will be embarking on its first capital campaign to expand its impact of building safe, dry, warm, and affordable homes for low-income households through volunteer labor. This position will be critical to the capital campaign as it is expected that the incumbent will work closely with the Director of Development and Communications and Director of Operations to support the donor cultivation, solicitation process, and proper record keeping.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Manage the quality and reliability of donor records and relationships in CRM.

2. Acknowledge gifts in an urgent manner.

3. Intake and record contributions for gifts for deposit.

4. Provide statements for donors of their gift for tax purposes.

5. Support the monitoring and reporting progress on the annual fundraising plan by delivering monthly quarterly reports.

6. Conduct research and provide data on current and prospective donors.

7. Assist with organizing and staffing in-person special events.

8. Write original donor acknowledgement letters, individually and at times in collaboration, whenever necessary and appropriate.

9. Support organizational and operational financial bookkeeping of gifts and program expenses.

Specifications:

  • Exceptional organization and record keeping, writing and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Prefer experience with CRM/database proficiency with the ability to create reports, analyze donor data, and make strategic decisions based on that data.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in fundraising, marketing, public relations, and/or sales a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge of financial management tools, such as Quickbooks.
  • Able to work some evenings and weekends.
