Compass Mark’s mission is to prevent addiction through education, skill-building, and community mobilization. We are actively recruiting a full-time Community Prevention Mobilizer to join our team!
The Community Prevention Mobilizer plays a prominent role in the community as a representative of Compass Mark. This individual serves as a guide for grassroots and volunteer organizations throughout Lancaster County, actively facilitating the growth and expansion of community-based drug prevention activities at the local level. The Community Prevention Mobilizer also advises community collaborations in regard to best practices of drug and alcohol prevention. This is a largely external role that works closely with Compass Mark’s Management Team to represent the organization at state and local stakeholder meetings, conferences and other events. This is a Supervisory position.
Education & Skills:
-Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, community organizing, public health, or other social/behavioral science; or at least two (2) years of significant experience in the field of substance abuse; specifically, prevention and treatment services.
-Exceptional communication skills (written and oral) and demonstrated success mobilizing community resources towards specific goals.
-Ability to successfully prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to various audiences.
-Demonstrated leadership and vision for managing groups and projects.
-Ability to be resourceful in setting priorities and guiding successful investment in people and systems.
-Must have a working knowledge of software programs including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
