Assists professional nursing staff in meeting the specific needs of the Nursing Center residents as indicated and directed in each resident’s plan of care providing for safety, comfort, and encouraging resident independence to the level that the resident is able to achieve. In addition, is responsible for communicating changes in the residents’ needs to the appropriate party to ensure that adaptations can be made to the resident’s care plan and treatment plan. Services will be delivered to each resident in a manner that fulfills UZRC’s mission, and complies with all applicable professional, federal, and state regulations governing a Nursing Center. Assists with ADL needs, ambulation, transport needs, communicating physical changes in residents between shifts, promotes highest level of functioning and independence for all residents through participation in restorative programming, activity programming, ADL independence per resident ability. Assists with the development, review, and implementation of resident care plans in conjunction with nursing and other disciplines. Utilize care directives to ensure appropriate care delivery.
Qualifications: Current Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant license in good standing.
Compensation and Benefit Eligibility: Eligible for Shift 2, 3, and Weekend Differentials.
