About this Event

Empathy and Deep Listening: Connecting with Self to Connect with Others

Through a series of interactive activities, Salina Almanzar will engage people and organizations with tools and strategies to consider (and reconsider) how to explore their individual identities in order to better connect with their communities. The operating definition of inclusion for the purposes of this workshop is allowing people to enter spaces with their whole selves. We will discuss what it means to honor community expertise. We will also discuss how and what moving from Diversity to Equity and finally to Inclusion looks like.

This experience is part of the Lancaster County Community Foundation’s LEAP Sessions: free capacity building for community benefit organizations across Lancaster County! Learn more at LancFound.org/LeapSessions!
