Manheim Township Educational Foundation

The Manheim Township Educational Foundation (MTEF) was established in 1993  to strengthen, enhance and enrich the educational experiences of the students and faculty of the Manheim Township School District. For 25 years, the Foundation’s focus has been helping educators deliver their creative ideas to students inside and outside the classroom by awarding more than 450 grants. The Manheim Township Educational Foundation is dedicated to making the educational experience of all Manheim Township School District students exceptional. MTEF provides resources to educators, administrators and school-related groups for educational programs, preferably innovative, that benefit Manheim Township School District students. MTEF raises funds through tax-deductible contributions to promote innovative educational programs and supplement existing curriculum of MTSD. Manheim Township’s positive reputation for providing top-tier public education is enhanced by the annual contributions from MTEF.

The Manheim Township Educational Foundation (MTEF) is an independent, registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization.

  • 229 STEM related grants providing new approaches to learning across science, technology, engineering, and math
  • 96 Peer-to-Peer grants focusing on mental health and wellness, relationship development and diversity training
  • 97 Artistic grants enriching students’ cultural experiences through theater, choral clinics, and visiting artist and musician programs
  • 80 Leadership grants educating students on professional development, trade skills, advanced learning and college preparation
  • Twice each year, educators may submit grant requests for innovative programs to benefit students

Masonic Charities Fund

The Masonic Charities serve men, women and children of all ages, means and circumstances across Pennsylvania, throughout the United States, and beyond. The Masonic Charities Fund was established in 1993 by the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. Contributions to the fund benefit various charitable organizations, both Masonic and non-Masonic.

Owned and operated by the R.W. Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania, the Masonic Charities of Pennsylvania are an accredited 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Most recently, the Masonic Charities Fund has focused its support on the restoration and preservation of the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia. The Masonic Temple stands as a monument of the strength, stability and energy of the Craft in Pennsylvania. It is a significant priority to ensure that future generations may benefit from the past accomplishments of Freemasonry exemplified through and within the Masonic Temple.

Millersville University Foundation

The Millersville University Foundation is a separate entity from Millersville University and its mission is to manage and invest endowed gifts for the University. It is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt public foundation incorporated to receive gifts which benefit Millersville University and to administer those funds in perpetuity in a manner prescribed by the donors. Today, the MU Foundation manages more than 450 scholarship and program accounts, and holds assets in excess of $38 million. The MU Foundation’s activities are managed by an independent Board of Directors that includes leaders from the University, the community and the alumni body at large.

Pembroke Philanthropy Advisors brings expertise in the areas of philanthropic advising, family philanthropy services, governance training, and foundation management. We provide superior solutions for individual donors, philanthropic families, and private foundations striving to enhance their philanthropic experience and increase the span and influence of their charitable giving.

Our Services:

  • Philanthropic Advising- Advisory services range from helping a donor identify charitable interests and philanthropic goals to preparing a comprehensive plan for foundation operations to succession planning. Pembroke will organize the initial framework of a donor’s charitable vehicle, including the design of its mission, structure, policies, funding priorities, and grant guidelines.
  • Foundation Management- Our foundation management services offer a cost-effective solution for new or established foundations seeking the benefits of professional foundation management without the complications or expense of establishing and staffing an office. The board maintains full control, but is relieved of the demands of the daily operations. These daily operations include grant making services and administrative services.
  • Family Philanthropy- Pembroke helps families leave a legacy through charitable giving. We enable family engagement with services such as family meeting facilitation, involvement of the second and third generations in charitable activities, and stewardship training for younger family members and trustees.

Penn Manor Education Foundation

Penn Manor Education Foundation is a nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to providing opportunities for Penn Manor students and securing a better community for everyone.

PMEF provides additional support for projects and/or activities that go beyond the scope of programming normally associated with public education. The foundation supports:

  • Scholarships for graduating seniors for post-secondary education.
  • Venture Grants for innovative classroom programs and activities for which funding is not normally available through school district resources.
  • Strong Grants to help students and families experiencing financial, emotional or physical difficulties.
  • A cooperative relationship between the school district, business leaders and the community to advance the role of education in society.

Since 2000, PMEF has awarded over $1 million in Venture Grants and student scholarships.
