The materials processing unit involved the use of a laser engraver. alongside the use of adobe. Using different tools and colors, a template was made to be used in a laser engraver. This was to make a small piece of wood to be set on a key chain. The file was the uploaded to the machine then burnt onto the wood with a laser like the image below.
The project allowed for a significant amount of freedom with the designs of the wooden piece. I rather enjoyed the project and would like to do similar things in the future.
