USED BOOK SALE 3/24 & 3/25 HOSTED NEW STUDENT BOOK CLUB:

One of Millersville’s newest student clubs, Books & Banter, is putting together a used book sale on March 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and March 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Student Memorial Center Atrium that is open to the public and the campus community.

Anyone who wants to donate books can drop them off in a donation box located in the Campus Life Office in the Student Memorial Center. “We accept any books for the donation such as romcoms, romance, historical, crime, fantasy, young adult, children's books, thrillers, fiction, non-fiction and even textbooks,” said the Books & Banter president Nelian Cruz.

The used book sale will feature small businesses, bookstores and the public library to table the sale as a way of promoting their businesses to the campus community.

Books & Banter is a newly created organization where student readers get together every month to select a new book to read and discuss. Outside of the bi-weekly meetings, the club organized both a sticker sale featuring many book-themed options and a bookmark sale.

“What I love about being a reader is that I get transported to a different world through the books I read. I can live a thousand lives through the characters and get to fall in love with the pretty words on the pages. I find peace and comfort in between the pages of a good book, said Cruz, "I want the book club to be a place where readers can come together to connect with one another through their shared love of reading.”

For further questions or information, you can reach out to the board members through their Instagram page, @booksandbanter.mu.
