Meet Anna Halterman!

Anna is a junior from Bloomsburg, PA, studying Early Childhood Education. Anna chose to attend Millersville University because of its renowned education program, which has given her opportunities to gain knowledge and experience relevant to her career path. Further, she fell in love with the campus and its beautiful landscape.

In addition to her studies, Anna is a member of Delta Zeta, a sorority chapter on campus. “Being in a sorority has helped me gain amazing friends and allowed me to be more active in our community with our philanthropic partners,” she shares. “It has also given me leadership experience as I am currently the Vice President of Philanthropy.”

So far, Anna’s favorite course has been Dr. Sarah Jackson's Early Childhood and Pre-Kindergarten 316: Creative Experiences for the Young Child. “This class helped me to expand my knowledge of how I can keep my future students engaged in our learning and, most importantly, how to have fun and be creative in the classroom,” she says.

Anna’s favorite spot on campus is the pond. “I love to see the swans and all the other wildlife around,” she says. “It is also a very peaceful place to just sit down for a while or to come hang out with friends and chat.”

In her free time, Anna enjoys doing yoga, arts and crafts, and hiking.

After graduation, Anna plans to become an early childhood teacher and eventually pursue a master’s degree.
