Emily Bland beats the sun out of bed most mornings. Her day, fittingly, is structured as a race against time. Rain or shine, Bland is outside running six to eight miles to start her day, beginning around 6:30 a.m. From there, she lifts, tutors, goes to class, student-teaches, builds a lesson plan and studies.

Dr. Daniel Wubah began his tenure as the 15th president of Millersville University (MU) on July 1 and has hit the ground running with Listening Tour stops to hear what all members of the University community including current students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and friends think is working and not working at the University they love.
The goal of the Latino Student Leadership Institute (LSLI) is to teach Latina/o students about internships and other leadership opportunities. Kiara Lynn Garcia, a senior at Millersville University who will graduate in May 2019, took advantage of the opportunities that came her way and spent the summer of 2018 interning for Nike.
Over the last 100 years, Millersville has been at the forefront of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education’s (PASSHE) plans to expand women’s athletics. Women’s teams have won 21 of Millersville’s 48 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships.
The Morgan Scholarship Fund for Women’s Athletics will provide enhanced scholarship dollars to recruit and retain the most talented female student athletes on the field and in the classroom.
What’s it like being a freshman at the ‘Ville? The transition from high school to college is an exciting time for students, but it can also be challenging. Freshmen not only need to adjust to college-level coursework, but they are also focused on “finding their fit” at Millersville University (MU) through joining student organizations and sport teams, and making new friends.
Millersville has opened the wrestling ring for professionals to take the mat. On Jan. 20, the Pucillo Gym was roaring with excitement for the Icebreaker event, hosted by Three Legacies Wrestling. The audience was kept on the edge of their seats as legacies were forged, rivalries settled and champions were crowned between over a dozen wrestlers in thrilling matches. <br /> <br /> Three Legacies Wrestling is an organization based in Lancaster, PA with a commitment to training wrestlers and entertaining the masses, founded by former WWE superstar Ricardo Rodriguez and local businessman Christopher Dreisbach.<br /> <br /> After other electrifying experiences over the last few months, the ‘Ville is ready to rumble again! “A New Dawn” will be held on April 27 at 7 p.m. in the Pucillo Gym. In addition to a stacked lineup, the main event will include a fatal 4-way match, where current 3LW Champion J.S. Hawthorne defends his title. Millersville students have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for $5 online and at the door.
