One Day Give Raises More than Half a Million in 24 Hrs

Millersville’s 2023 day of online fundraising was a success once again.

The final number is in for One Day Give 2023, Millersville University’s online day of giving. This year, MU raised $582,465 from 2,026 gifts!  

This impressive amount will support student scholarships, Millersville athletics, the EPPIIC Student Compassion Fund that assists students facing undue financial hardships who need emergency assistance, and so much more. Additionally, 15 new scholarships were created during the 2023 One Day Give.

The valuable funds contributed during the One Day Give event will directly impact the student experiences of thousands of Millersville University students. “I am so grateful to our community for once again showing support for our brilliant and deserving students here at Millersville University during the 2023 One Day Give event,” says Dr. Daniel A. Wubah, president of Millersville. “Words cannot express how appreciative the entire University and I are for the thousands of generous gifts made yesterday. Thank you to each and every person who made a gift.”

Millersville has opened the wrestling ring for professionals to take the mat. On Jan. 20, the Pucillo Gym was roaring with excitement for the Icebreaker event, hosted by Three Legacies Wrestling. The audience was kept on the edge of their seats as legacies were forged, rivalries settled and champions were crowned between over a dozen wrestlers in thrilling matches. <br /> <br /> Three Legacies Wrestling is an organization based in Lancaster, PA with a commitment to training wrestlers and entertaining the masses, founded by former WWE superstar Ricardo Rodriguez and local businessman Christopher Dreisbach.<br /> <br /> After other electrifying experiences over the last few months, the ‘Ville is ready to rumble again! “A New Dawn” will be held on April 27 at 7 p.m. in the Pucillo Gym. In addition to a stacked lineup, the main event will include a fatal 4-way match, where current 3LW Champion J.S. Hawthorne defends his title. Millersville students have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for $5 online and at the door.
