Once again, the Millersville community has turned out a record-breaking One Day Give! We raised $743,839 with 2,139 gifts!
Thank you for supporting student success here at the ’Ville! We are truly overwhelmed by your generosity during this year’s One Day Give.
We want to share our deepest appreciation for your gifts and involvement throughout the day. One Day Give is an important event, and your contributions have created a phenomenal day of support for our students!
About One Day Give
Millersville’s One Day Give event is set for Thursday, February 24, with the theme, “Give to What You Love.” A 16-hour event, you will have a chance to give to the ‘Ville from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
“One Day Give is a tremendous day for Millersville University and our students,” says Benjamin Rupp, director of philanthropic giving at Millersville. “I’m continually amazed at the generosity of our alumni, employees, students and friends of the University, as they give to what they love. I can’t wait to experience the outpouring of support again this year.”
The campus community and friends of the University are encouraged to donate to school programs, athletic teams, academic departments, and/or specific funds. Donors may designate their gifts to any area of interest and all contributions will go directly to the donor’s preferred area. Participants may make donations online at One Day Give or by phone, 717-871-7520.
There are various incentives and matches offered to donors throughout the day. For example, MU students will receive a pair of school-branded socks with a gift of $10 or more, and current and retired faculty and staff can receive the same gift with a donation of $20. This year’s One Day Give is the final chance for community members to secure a paver at the pond as part of its restoration efforts. Individuals who contribute $250 or more to this initiative will have the opportunity to personalize a paver to be placed around the pond.
This is Millersville University’s ninth annual One Day Give event that encourages alumni and friends to come together to support student success at Millersville University by giving to favorite programs, colleges, athletic teams and funds. Last year’s campaign raised a record-breaking $608,738 from over 2,700 donors.
