Millersville University professor, Dr. Jennifer Wood will receive the first-ever Mentor of the Year award from PRNEWS during its 2021 CSR & Diversity Virtual Awards Gala on April 27. Wood, who has been a professor in the Communication and Theatre Department for more than 15 years, was nominated for the award by alumni and current students.
“It is an honor to be recognized by PRNEWS within its Inaugural Awards. I have always believed I should be an example in the field to inspire our students but also help them to strive toward excellence in serving the fields they have chosen. I have and will continue to actively prioritize the professional and career development of students,” says Wood.
During her tenure at MU, Wood has been an advocate for her students, and she was also named 2014-15 Educator of the Year.
“As Millersville University continues to strive towards Inclusive excellence, I am excited to be a part of amplifying the celebration of social efforts that many faculty and staff make every day to inspire future generations,” says Wood.
