Tops in Nursing

Rankings based on the prestige of the institution, the depth of nursing programs and student success on The National Council Licensure Examination.

Millersville University was recently ranked 43rd in Nursing Schools Almanac Top 75 Best Nursing Schools in Pennsylvania. The mention was published as part of Nursing Schools Almanac’s 2020 ranking profile posted on their website.

Nursing Schools Almanac gathers information on over 3,000 nursing schools nationwide and bases their rankings on three components: the prestige of the institution, the depth of nursing programs offered at the school, and student success on The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

According to Nursing Schools Almanac, the strength of Millersville’s nursing program lies in the learning options provided to undergraduate students pursuing the RN-to-BSN track. Students are given the opportunity to complete their schooling in a traditional method that includes a combination of online and in-person programming, or students can opt to complete their degree entirely online.

Millersville’s nursing program offers both bachelor’s and master’s degree program options, making the prospect of continuing education more feasible for current and prospective Marauders.

Dr. Kelly Kuhns, professor and department chair within Millersville’s Nursing Program says, “Receiving this ranking is significant in the way it portrays the standing of Millersville’s nursing program on a national scale. We are privileged to have dedicated students and faculty who make this program what it is and who have continued to foster an excellent learning environment even during the challenges of this year.”
