Deborah McGuinness Named New Fitness Center Manager

McGuinness has helped coach championship soccer teams.

Recently, Deborah McGuinness was named the new Fitness Center Manager for Millersville University (MU). Hailing from Ireland, McGuinness moved to the U.S. to pursue a soccer scholarship at Lindsey Wilson College. She received both her bachelor’s in physical education and health and a master’s in counseling and human development from Lindsey Wilson College.

At Lindsey Wilson College, McGuinness worked as the head junior varsity women’s soccer coach, goalkeeper coach for the men’s soccer program, intramural director, fitness center coordinator and the residence director.  Most recently, McGuinness worked as an assistant teacher to toddlers at McCaskey High School daycare, site director for Fulton Elementary’s before/after school program and the volunteer assistant coach for MU’s soccer team.

McGuinness has coached teams to the Mid-South Conference regular season and tournament championships, NAIA National Championship and helped get the Millersville University women’s soccer team to their first National Tournament.

McGuinness lives in Millersville, PA.
