At the 13th annual Global Well-Being and Social Change Conference at Millersville University on April 10, keynote and a variety of guest speakers will address how trauma-informed practices can help people, “move from wounding to attuning.”
The free conference will bring together people from both professional and personal backgrounds to learn more about trauma-informed practices. Act 48 credits are available for free, Continuing Education credits are available for $25, and lunch is also provided for attendees. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held in the Bolger Conference Center inside the Gordinier Dining Hall on campus.
Dr. Nadine Garner, associate professor of psychology and director of the Trauma Institute at Millersville University, will serve as the opening keynote speaker. Paul Mancia, vice president of School Based Initiatives and Development at Laurel Life, will deliver the afternoon keynote address.

“Because these practices are so important and so applicable to a wide variety of professions and of course, interpersonal relationships, we are proud to offer this conference for free for the benefit of the community,” says Garner.

This conference is supported by Laurel Life Educational and Behavioral Health Services. Register for the conference here: https://bit.ly/4c0QBDv. For questions, please contact Dr. Nadine Garner at nadine.garner@millersville.edu.
