Millersville students enjoyed a visit from several alumni who participated in a panel discussion about their careers, insights and perspectives. The discussion, an annual event sponsored by the Career Center, was followed by a dinner during which they could share time with the five alumni. The panel included:
The Honorable Jordan A. Harris ’06, Majority Chairman of the Pennsylvania House Appropriations Committee and State Representatives for the 196th Legislative District. First elected in 2012, he made history as the first African American to serve as both Democratic Caucus Whip and Democratic Appropriations Chair.
The Honorable Judge Jodie E. Richardson ’16, Magisterial District Judge for District Court 02-2-01 in the city of Lancaster. Prior to becoming a District Judge, Richardson was employed at Millersville University for 23 years, working in University Advancement, Academic Affairs and Student Affairs.
Ally (Altaress) Craig ’08, Team Leader and Job Coach with Work Opportunities Unlimited, where she supports individuals across central Pennsylvania in achieving competitive employment. In fiscal year 2024–2025, she led the Harrisburg team of job coaches in successful job placements and company interviews.
A.C. (Allison Connelly) Brooke ’23, multimedia professional and Creative Director for UCA WAVES, a nonprofit focused on promoting mental wellness within Asian America and Pacific Islander youth and their families. She collaborated with filmmaker and MU faculty member Dr. Changfu Chang on a feature documentary about mental health in the APPI community and is directing her own documentary, “Paper Birds,” exploring recovered and somatic memories.
Dr. Romaine Thrower ’11, workforce strategist, leadership consultant and executive leader in the workforce development sector. She is also the founder of Elite Professional Consulting Group and Elite LeadHER Circle, a professional women’s leadership community focused on growth, collaboration and impact.
