A holiday celebration transformed the Millersville University campus into a winter wonderland on Saturday, December 7, with Glorious Holidays at the ‘Ville, including a festive collection of events and activities designed to delight all ages. “Around the holidays, there’s nothing more special than coming together as a community to celebrate tradition and the spirit of giving with the sounds, sights and tastes of the season, and we’re grateful for everyone’s support,” says Joshua Belice, Director of Alumni Engagement.

The 19th annual Glorious Sounds of the Season Concert was the highlight of the day, with two concert events on Saturday in the Winter Visual and Performing Arts Center, including an afternoon and evening concert, plus a concert on Sunday afternoon. Showcasing the incredible musical talents of Millersville University’s Tell School of Music students and faculty, the cherished tradition of the concert supports student scholarships and program development, blending traditional holiday favorites with a vibrant selection of world music.

“I think that the Glorious Sounds of the Season concert is an excellent way to raise money for the music scholarship program and a perfect way to get people into the spirit of the season,” says Millersville alumnus Carroll “Butch” Staub ’72, ‘90M.

A beautiful luminary path illuminated the campus pathways with Marauders’ Guiding Lights, featuring the warm glow of personalized lanterns dedicated to honor individuals, families and loved ones with a heartwarming display of holiday cheer and unity.

“Glorious Sounds of the Season is the highlight of the holidays at Millersville! Performing in this incredible concert alongside my friends was an unforgettable experience, and knowing it helps support scholarships for music students makes it even more meaningful. From the beautiful performances to the festive Maker’s Market to seeing Santa, it’s a magical celebration of music, community and holiday spirit that I’ll always treasure,” says Millersville student Rachel Mark ’25.

Holiday festivities located in and around Stayer Hall included the Maker’s Market, which featured an engaging holiday shopping experience with local artisans, vendors and makers, offering one-of-a-kind items from talented creators. Capturing the magical holiday spirit, Photos with Santa provided family, friends and loved ones with an opportunity to create treasured memories. Featuring the flavors of the holiday season, Food Trucks outside Stayer Hall offered a variety of delicious food options, from savory treats to sweet indulgences.

“As we celebrate the start of the holiday season, the Glorious Sounds of the Season concert brings the excitement of the holidays to the campus community through this treasured musical tradition. Experiencing this joyous performance fills me with the holiday spirit and tremendous appreciation for the exceptional musical talents of our students showcased through this festive celebration, featuring selections of holiday music from around the world.” says Dr. Daniel A. Wubah, president of Millersville University.

Through Glorious Holidays at the ’Ville, the campus community created treasured memories and shared the holiday spirit in a special celebration that provided a highlight of the holiday season.
