Judge to Keynote Millersville’s Commencement

The commencement speaker for Millersville’s December graduation will be the Honorable Judge Jodie Richardson ‘16.

Millersville University’s upcoming winter commencement ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. in the ‘Ville Courts, located on the lower level of the Student Memorial Center on campus.

This year’s keynote speaker is the Honorable Judge Jodie Richardson ‘16, a distinguished alumna of Millersville University and a respected judge in Lancaster County. Richardson presides over the 3rd and 7th precincts of Lancaster City as a Magisterial Judge.

Before her judicial appointment, Richardson worked at Millersville University for 23 years in the University Advancement, Academic Affairs and Student Affairs divisions.

Guests must have a ticket to attend the in-person ceremony. Each graduate will receive four guest tickets, which can be picked up in person at the MU Ticket Office, located in the Student Memorial Center, starting on Dec. 2. Tickets will be available for pickup until Dec. 13.

The ceremony is expected to last approximately two hours. Doors will open at 1 p.m. to allow graduates and guests ample time to find their seats.
