On First Friday, December 1, Millersville University’s student chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers will be collecting new and/or gently used winter apparel and coats for families in need at the MU Ware Center in Lancaster City from 1-6 p.m. Alternative collection points are offered on Millersville’s main campus in the lobbies of Osburn Hall, McComsey Hall and McNairy Library.
The coat drive is led by the National Society of Black Engineers student chapter in partnership with Millersville University Applied Engineering students, the American Society of Safety Professionals club, Construction club, Robotics club, Lancaster STEM Alliance, Bright Side Opportunity Center, Young Women’s Christian Association, and Lancaster Food Hub.
All coats and winter apparel received will be donated to the Lancaster Food Hub for distribution to individuals and families in the Lancaster area.
