This Alum’s Honey Biz is All the Buzz on Shark Tank

There’s a lot of buzz around Zach and Zoe Sweet Bee Farm. The honey business, owned and operated by alumnus Kam Johnson and his wife, Summer, is a hit online, made it onto Oprah’s Favorite Things list in 2020 and got a write-up in the New York Times in 2018.

But the sweet surprises didn’t stop there. The family business was recently featured on the hit ABC show Shark Tank, where the Johnsons walked away with a deal from Shark Barbara Corcoran. You can see the exchange on the show by clicking here

According to the website, the New Jersey family first began their raw honey business back in 2015 as they were searching for a way to help alleviate their son’s allergies. In the process, they discovered a passion for beekeeping and started making and selling their own raw honey. Today, the family ships orders of honey around the world.

Kam graduated from Millersville University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government & political affairs.
