The ‘Ville Tops the Charts

Millersville ranked in Washington Monthly, Princeton Review Guide to Green Colleges, Security Degree Hub and College Values Online.

From being green to having top programs in emergency management and social work, Millersville University was recently recognized by numerous organizations.

Washington Monthly
Since 2005, the Washington Monthly has ranked colleges based on what they do for the country. They rank liberal arts colleges—four-year institutions that award almost exclusively bachelor’s degrees and that focus on arts and sciences rather than professional programs—based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research, and promoting public service.

Millersville University was recently ranked #112 on a list of master’s degree institutions by Washington Monthly. More information is available at

Green Colleges
Millersville University is one of the nation’s most environmentally responsible colleges, according to The Princeton Review®. The ‘Ville was selected for inclusion in “The Princeton Review Guide to Green Colleges: 2022 Edition,” for being on the list of 422 selected colleges. Millersville received a Green Rating of 81 for 2022.

The Princeton Review chose the 420 schools in the guide based on its survey of administrators at 835 colleges in 2020-21 about their institutions’ commitments to the environment and sustainability. The company’s editors analyzed more than 25 survey data points to select the schools.
