Pridefest, Millersville University’s Annual LGBTQIA Pride Festival, is returning to the ‘Ville in 2021. The celebration will take place on Friday, October 15 at the Student Memorial Center starting at 5 p.m.
The night will be capped off with a drag show from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., hosted by local queen Nevaeha “JZA” Le’Vixenn and features performances by two stars from the hit show RuPaul’s Drag Race: Shuga Cain and Silky Nutmeg Ganache.
“Our most colorful tradition is back for 2021 and we can’t wait for the campus community to come together and show their pride,” said J. Whitlow, acting director of campus life at Millersville. “Our 8th annual Pridefest is a part of Homecoming 2021, I am looking forward to seeing so many of our community members celebrate who they are during Pridefest and beyond.”
Pridefest was created to celebrate and honor National Coming Out Day, which is October 11 every year. This celebration was started by a student to create visibility to our thriving LGBTQ+ community.
Tickets are available for purchase by clicking here and cost $20 for alumni and $30 for the general public. Students, staff and faculty of Millersville can purchase tickets at the Student Memorial Center Box Office with a valid University ID.
