The 24th annual Millersville Parade is accepting entry applications. Applications will be accepted through September 27. The 2021 parade will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 8:30 a.m. with a crowd estimate of over 15,000 spectators. This year’s parade theme is “Hometown Heroes.”
The two-mile parade attracts over 2,000 participants and includes bands, twirlers, fire and emergency apparatus, floats, antique cars, student and community groups, inflatable characters and so much more. The parade begins at Penn Manor High School and begins marching at the intersection of Cottage Avenue and Herr Avenue. The parade marches on Herr Avenue, passing intersections at New Street, Quarry Drive, Charlotte Street and Kready Avenue. The parade turns left onto Landis Avenue and continues to North George Street. The parade turns left again on to North George Street and marches toward Millersville University; crossing intersections at Kready Avenue, Charlotte Street, Brenneman Avenue, Cottage Avenue, Model Avenue, Normal Avenue, East Frederick Street and Ann Street. Finally, when reaching the Student Memorial Center, the parade turns left onto James Street and ends in the James Street parking areas.
