Conference Addresses Pandemic, Racial Injustice and Voter Suppression

Global Citizenship: Acknowledging Interconnectedness and Cultivating Social Justice.

The Learning Institute at Millersville University is holding its 8th Annual Global Well Being and Social Change event from April 14 – April 16.

Global Citizenship: Acknowledging Interconnectedness and Cultivating Social Justice, seeks to align with Millersville University’s EPPIIC values and the social challenges facing our communities today. The event focuses on fostering global citizenship by addressing topics such as the ongoing pandemic, racial injustice and voter suppression.

The conference will open with a film screening and discussion with Dr. Kimberly Mahaffy, professor and coordinator of Latino Studies at Millersville University. Keynote speakers include Dr. Eric Hartman, author, nonprofit leader and lecturer at University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
