Early Education Program Ranked One of Best in Country

MU was selected for the list based on academic and career resources for early childhood education students, the quality of education and program accessibility.

Study.com’s 2020 Rankings for the Best Early Childhood Education Programs, puts Millersville University among the 50 best in the country. MU made the list at #35, one of nine schools in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education to make the list.

“One of the main reasons why Millersville’s Early Education program is unique and worthy of recognition is that we are a multidisciplinary department,” says Dr. Rich Mehrenberg, associate professor of Early, Middle and Exceptional Education and department chair.

“Not only do we have expertise in Early Childhood education, but in related fields such as special education, gifted education, literacy and middle level education.  We embrace collaboration and provide students with multiple lenses to view the teaching profession

MU was selected for the list based on academic and career resources for early childhood education students, the quality of education and program accessibility.

MU’s Early Education program was also recently ranked #24 in the country by Discover Early Childhood EDU. The following factors were used when putting the rankings list together: Retention rate, graduation rate, admission rate, cost of tuition, graduating salary, number of programs offered, online programs offered, loan default rate, diplomas awarded and percentage of students receiving financial aid.
