Move further promotes exceptional service and advanced technology at Millersville University.

Student Services Inc. (SSI) at Millersville University has selected Akademos to provide the University’s almost 8,000 students access to a convenient online bookstore and course materials platform. A vital center of the central Pennsylvania community, Millersville University inspires engaging intellectual and personal growth. The new online bookstore will launch this summer to support its fall 2020 term.

“Student Services, Inc. is pleased to announce our partnership with Akademos to provide textbooks for our students at Millersville University.  Akademos is an industry leader in lowering textbook costs for students across the country while helping to ensure student success,” says Geoff Beers, CEO, SSI.

The Akademos course materials platform will allow students to see a personalized listing of the textbooks required for each of their courses, and to order materials for an entire term, rapidly and efficiently. A wide selection of new, used, rental and digital formats will be offered, as well as access to the Akademos Marketplace of over 100 million used textbooks at an average of 60% off. Additionally, students will have the freedom to use financial aid on all purchases along with free shipping options.

The platform will additionally support Millersville University’s faculty and administrators with a comprehensive course materials adoption process that includes a step-by-step guide for selections, recommendations and past adoption history along with the ability to compare prices in real-time. The paired analytics dashboard will give leadership increased visibility into the entire management process with the ability to track critical data, including student purchasing and utilization, and communicate with faculty and students via built-in notifications.

“We are excited to partner with Student Services Inc. to provide Millersville administration, faculty, and students powerful and personalized tools that will streamline every step in the course materials management process and further promote the technological advancement of the entire university,” said Raj Kaji, CEO, Akademos.
