What is the AUC?

Now is your chance to be a part of next strategic plan.

The All University Council (AUC) is an ad hoc group created to enhance input into the development of Millersville University’s 2025 strategic plan. A call is now out to get representatives from all areas willing to serve on the AUC.

“The perfect representative will be a person who enjoys joint planning and two-way sharing of ideas for a desired future,” said Dr. Jennifer F. Wood, associate professor of Communication and Theatre and co-chair of the Strategic Advisory Council. “The person will enjoy gathering ideas from colleagues and communicating those ideas with the AUC, as well as sharing AUC information with colleagues – thus providing unit feedback into the design of the plan.”

Members of the AUC will meet for one year, every other Tuesday during common hour, from August 2019 to May 2020 to help plan Millersville University’s future.  Council members also need to be available for the launch on May 6, 2019 from 2 to 3:30 pm.

Each unit in the University should identify a representative who is available during Common Hour from their area. The AUC will include:

·         The organizational units (e.g., academic departments, student support services, academic support services, departments within Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, Advancement, and Finance & Administration units)

·         Council of Trustees

·         Related organizations (e.g., Alumni Board, Foundation Board, Student Services, Inc. / Student Lodging)

·         President’s Commissions

·         Student Government Association

·         Graduate students

·         Friends of the University

Units should send the name and title of the individual to Kay.Keen@millersville.edu by May 1, 2019.
