Significant Parking Impact Coming

Construction at Penn Manor High School will impact parking garage.

Beginning this summer, there will be a significant impact to parking at Millersville University because of the construction at Penn Manor High School. Millersville University will lose the parking spaces in the lower level of the Penn Manor parking garage on Pucillo Drive near Biemesderfer Stadium.

Penn Manor High School, which built and owns the parking structure, is in the midst of a three-year renovation and construction project.  During construction, the surface lots at the high school will be used for construction staging and new building sites. Penn Manor will have exclusive use of all levels of the parking garage for their faculty and staff members beginning this summer. The project is scheduled to be completed by fall of 2022.

The Parking Task Force at the University, which has four student representatives, the Commuter Student group and the Student Government Association have been informed of the closure and are working with the University on how to minimize the impact to the campus community.

To help offset the loss of 149 commuter spaces, the University will have dedicated shuttles to and from the Prince Street Parking Garage, located next to Jefferson Hall. The shuttles will be dedicated to moving students from the Prince Street garage to the Pucillo Drive academic core. The Prince Street Parking Garage has 358 spaces of which only 20 percent are used on a routine basis.

The University understands this will be an inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
