Director of Development Communications Hired

Corinna Linn

Corinna Linn officially started her position as Director of Development Communications at Millersville University on Jan. 7, 2019.  Her office is in Duncan Alumni House within the Advancement Division.  Linn’s responsibilities include composing, editing and managing the production of print and digital materials in an effort to build relationships and a sense of community with over 65,000 of Millersville’s alumni. This includes initiatives such as fundraising, community outreach, and general communications and marketing initiatives in order to grow the university as a whole.

As an accomplished communications professional, Linn spent the past three years working as a Technical Strategist at Listrak, Inc. and has previously held communications and marketing positions at Esbenshade’s Garden Centers and the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. Linn is a 2003 graduate of Penn State University, where she earned her bachelor’s in communications. She lives in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

National Disability Rights Memorial

As an outcome of the Sept. 28 conference on disability rights at Millersville University, Dr. Dennis Downey, professor of history emeritus, is now part of a small steering committee to discuss a national memorial dedicated to disability rights. Downey, along with Michael Gamel-McCormick in Sen. Casey’s office, as well as the Smithsonian, are all part of the working group.
