The 11th Annual International Policy Conference Focuses on Media

John M. Gizzi, a journalist in Washington D.C., will be the keynote speaker.

The 11th Annual International Policy Conference will be held at Millersville University (MU) on Oct. 24 & 25 in Gordinier Hall. The conference will focus on “The Power of Media.” John M. Gizzi, a journalist in Washington D.C., will be the keynote speaker.

The two-day conference includes sessions that features guest speakers, luncheons, expos, discussions that are designed to help MU and the Lancaster County community understand the effect that media has on our everyday lives, and the threats to the freedom of the global press. Participants can attend any or all of the sessions free of charge.

Gizzi is currently chief political correspondent and White House correspondent for Newsmax. He received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Fairfield University. In the 1970s he worked as a clerk-typist for the Travis County tax assessor in Austin, Texas, before he launched his career in journalism. As a clerk typist he became aware of property tax and homestead exemption issues and various Texas politicians of both parties who congregate in the state capital. It was there that his adoration with politics was born. He authored “Gizzi on Politics” and spotlighted key political races for both houses of Congress. His “Gizzi’s America” video interview series is broadcast on HumanEvents.com.
