‘Ville professor finds alum working 3,000 miles away.

Just as the weather was turning warmer in Pennsylvania, Millersvile University Educational Foundations professor, Dr. Nanette Marcum-Dietrich decided it was time to head north. On May 7 she traveled 320 miles above the Arctic Circle to Barrow, Alaska.

Marcum-Dietrich has a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to partner with the North Slope School District.

“During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting their middle school science teacher, Kevin Neyhard. He is an outstanding science teacher so you know… that must mean…he is an MU grad!!! Yes! MU grads span the globe and today I found a proud Marauder in the northern most town in North America,” said Marcum-Dietrich.
